Let's play psychoanalysis
Ok so here are the rules. One of us is the therapist and the other is the patient. The game play is similar to the Yes and No game, except here instead of not being able to say yes or no the therapist must not respond with anything other than a question. Bonus points are awarded to the therapist for sustaining extended awkward silences and for showing no natural human responses, emotions or sensitivity to the patient. Basically the therapist has to feign complete emotional detachment.
The aim of the game is for the therapist to use suggestion to present their perceptions on the patient's condition as fact and for the patient to believe that they have realised these 'facts' on their own. Winning the game (sometimes known as overcoming the issue) is the point at which the patient has become so worn down by the prolonged silences and antagonising suggestions that they simply cave in and accept the suggestions as 'fact' and adjust their model of reality to keep the therapist happy.
The game is designed in such a way that it is impossible to keep the therapist happy (remember the therapist is not allowed to show emotion) and so this becomes an endless spiral. The ultimate goal of the game is to sustain the game.
Who would like to go first?
