No matter how clever you are...
No matter how clever you are there are always some tests that you cannot pass. No matter how long I revise I never seem to get the right results in my blood tests for example. There is always something thats too high or something thats too low.
Then again there are tests that I didn't even revise for, didn't even want to pass and yet somehow passed with flying colours. For example in 1999 I was tested by a number of neurologists for Parkinson's disease. I didn't revise for that test. In fact I didn't have to do much at all. More to the point, the less I could do, the more likely I was likely to get a positive result.
More recently I have faced the neurologists for one of the ultimate tests. I am not going to tell you "its not brain surgery" because frankly it is. Well deep brain stimulation to be more precise. Will I pass or will I fail? I don't know.
But at least I can say I tried.
