I think I should stand for election. It doesn't really matter which party; whichever one will take me will do. I can't really tell the difference anyway. You may want to know what I stand for so here it is...
First of all I think that voters deserve to paid for making good decisions - like electing me so I guarantee to reduce taxes whether or not the country can afford it. I will borrow against everything that I can including the Palace of Westminster if need be. And then I will borrow some more.
I will issue casino licences to all the banks - we may as well regulate them properly.
I will oppose the policies of the other party unless if I think people may vote for them in which case I will repackage them as my own.
I will make sweeping statements and never allow myself to be drawn on the detail.
I will smile at all times even when it may seem inappropriate.
In short - I will promise to deliver everything you want, not much of what you need, but probably deliver very little of real value at all.
